About Us

Hello and welcome....

You've stumbled upon the Motoroaming Miscellany blogspot; whether by design or default we welcome you into our little space of the world-wide-web and hope you enjoy are musings and meanderings on numerous motorhome related topics.

Regrettably, I failed to start this blog 10 years ago when our motorhome journey began and as such see an opportunity missed to document a significant part of our families travels together and experiences we've enjoyed.

However, there always needs to be a point in time when fresh starts begin and so this blog will henceforth become a journal of our travels, somewhere to document our memories, share pictures and perhaps in time provide a reference point for family members to locate us.

At the time of writing (late 2016), we are a couple in our forties, with two sons, who are now both of an age where travelling with mum and dad does not carry the appeal or necessity it once did!

So, more often than not, our travels now see the two of us departing for long weekends in the hope that the house is not burnt to the ground when we return.

We're both still a long way from retirement and so for now our expeditions are governed by the holiday's we can take during the working year; which in turn, are governed by our sons school that ultimately dictates when we are allowed to go!

Therefore, for the foreseeable future, we endeavour to abscond for a two week break at Christmas (in an attempt to hit the ski slopes), a fortnight at Easter, a week during Spring-Bank holiday and then a further three weeks during the summer period.

The remainder of the year we spend trying to get away for long weekends within the UK as often as we can.

Armed with a vehicle dash-cam, electric bike and go-pro action cam, I've found myself giving over more time to creating video footage of our routes to the Aires, Stellplatz and Campsites we stay and more recently street-view bike tours of the sites and their facilities.

Hopefully, over time, I may improve on producing this content and ultimately put together a library of visual media worth watching!

Hope you enjoy the journey......
